Summary of Club Rules

New rule for the 2010 season, please note - In the interests of stock conservation all sea trout (sewin) must now be returned to the water or donated to the hatchery from September 1st each season.

All anglers must carry a valid Environment Agency migratory fish licence and abide by their current rules at all times whilst fishing.

As with all rivers in England and Wales salmon fishing is fly and spinning only catch and release from 1st April – 16th June

Fly spinning and worming is permitted on our waters although anglers are reminded that the fly only rule still applies with fly fishing only below Crewil pool from the 1st May through to, and including, 31st August when the white marker at the tail end of Crewil Pool is showing.

Anglers are also reminded to take their litter home, especially fishing nylon, and to leave the fishing bank in the order they found it.
